I’m still here….

…yes, I know, I’ve been quiet for the last week, but I am still here…
It was a busy week, what with work, a church leadership meeting, an important worship team meeting, a rehearsal on Friday evening, leading worship at a youth event on Saturday, having people round for dinner on Saturday…
On Saturday I led worship with the Coram Deo worship team at a youth event in Louvetôt, about 45 minutes’ drive from Le Havre. I reckon there were about 60 or so young people there from as far afield as Paris, and it went pretty well. We’ve been invited back to go and lead at an evening youth event in either October or December. I feel these are definitely doors that are being opened by God.
We had some French friends round for dinner on Saturday evening. Joyanne was a little nervous about what to cook as he is a trained chef, so she thought she’d do something that he would never have cooked and probably never eaten - curry! (Now England’s most popular meal…) We topped it off with what has become a guaranteed hit here - cheesecake.
Bethany was off school for the whole of last week with an unidentified virus - headaches, sore throat, temperature, etc. I think it’s the longest she’s ever missed school. Thankfully it’s the end of the year so they’ve alreadyu completed the curriculum and it was no great loss. They break up this Thursday so will be doing zero work this week.
On Friday we’re all off to the UK…but i will part company with Joyanne and the kids in Portsmouth. They’re going to Joyanne’s parents for a couple of weeks. I’ll be having a one day meeting with friends and business associates in Portsmouth and heading back here on Sunday ALL ON MY OWN - sniff!!
