Checking in…

Posted by Rob under: Family; General .

Hi! Just checking in after well over a week of not posting…

Well, the beginning of September in France is known as “la rentrĂ©e”, which roughly translates as “back to school time” - but it’s also the time when everything else starts up again after extended downtime over the summer holidays (using the word “summer” in the loosest possible sense when it comes to this year…). Bethany’s hand/thumb is now more or less back to normal, and both kids seem to have settled back into school OK. Having commented a few days ago that things had been quiet work-wise for a little while and that I hoped they would soon pick up again…well, I’ve been madly busy for the last week!

A quick overview of our weekend - tomorrow we have a couple from our UK home church, Mosaic in Coventry, who are stopping by for a few hours after a ministry trip to the Paris region. We don’t know them, but really appreciate their effort to come and see us and are looking forward to getting to know them. On Sunday morning, we’re going to another church in Le Havre where I’ll be doing six training sessions on worship over the next six months (in fact, I’m speaking at an introductory information meeting about the training next Thursday). So it’s important that we visit the church in order to have a good idea where they are at currently in terms of the way they worship. The on Sunday afternoon we’re invited to the birthday party of someone in our church. So all set for a busy weekend.

See you next week!
